wow j crew! but really wow jenna lyons

^ The flagship Collection store on the Upper East Side … I had been to the Corner Shop ( I believe it was opened after the success of the men’s j crew flagship store in Tribeca)

a limited edition, seasonally updated range of playfully chic creatons…

For SS 2010 look book J Crew takes a bouncy & upbeat approach to new trends.  The shorts are probably the best… that or the abundance of accessories… can’t decide :D

I am sure everyone has already seen this… but I thought the fall 2009 look book with Erin Wasson was excellent…

Erin Wasson recently started doing catalogue work for J.Crew. It seems like an odd pairing, but J.Crew creative director Jenna Lyons said her tomboy style is a good fit for the brand. They style her in menswear items, and carefully decide on the roll of each cuff and scrunch of each sock prior to her shoot. “She’s not going to wear an anorak with a flower on it,” Lyons said. Now you may be wondering (I was) when and how did J Crew get so good…  who has been behind the labels drastic improvements these past few years… meet Jenna Lyons “new” creative director & genius behind the brands success

another favorite thing about the jcrew site is Jenna’s picks today it is Who’s That Girl which interviews successful women (mostly in creative industries – writer, designer, ballerina)… women who have established their careers and have interesting things to say…
