fashion culture collage for sale :)

bid on my collage on ebay

auction lasts three days

All proceeds will go towards my tuition at Parsons New School for Fashion next fall…  I really really REALLY appreciate any and all support :)

This is the collage made from clippings of the 30th Anniversary edition of Vogue Deutsch by Karl Lagerfeld.  Here are a few cultural references that have been pieced together – it also includes two of my own sketches.

Size: 8.5 X 11 inches on cardboard – it has been sealed with a water protectant

I envision this collage in a vintage gold frame – it is funky and full of interesting cultural references

“Die Jubilaums-Ausgabe” by Karl Lagerfeld for the 30th Anniversary of Vogue Deutsch, October 2009

Features: : Luca Gadjus, Nadja Auermann, Tatjana Patitz, Isabelle Huppert, Jim Rakete, Pina Bausch, Stephanie Seymour, Heidi Mount, Wim Wenders, Andreas Gursky, Melanie Thierry, Nina Burri, Tilda Swinton, Milla Jovovich, Julianne Moore and many more

Oktoberfest is still a while away, as is our celebration of the models who have made it big from Germany, but Vogue Deutsch is celebrating their 30th anniversary in a very appropriate way for the month. The magazine has commissioned guest editor assistance from a few iconic photographers who’s roots are planted in Germany: Karl Lagerfeld, Bruce Weber, and Peter Lindbergh.

The three editions will amount to a total of 732 pages, which means a massive opportunity for countless model pages—especially given the theme. So far Karl chose to use Edita Vilkeviciuteimpersonating Anita Berber, Claudia Schiffer is taking on the look of Rosemarie Nitribitt, and, of course, Heidi Klum makes an appearance. Plus, from these preview shots we know that Freja Beha Erichsen and Nadja Auermann will grace the issue as well. It’s safe to say this list is really only the beginning.
