remember when you went skiing as a kid? full speed down a black diamond – no looking back & no fear. When you are young you somehow have no ability to fully comprehend consequences. Memories of my youth remind me of moments lived to the fullest.
Tonight, I went to the theater to see Where The Wild Things Are. The plot of the movie directed by Spike Jonze based on book by Maurice Sendak’s left me wanting more (not sure exactly what??)- but the cinematography was BRILLIANT/GORGEOUS and I found myself longing for childhood while watching the protagonist Max.
I ate some chocolate, drank some wine, and ended up biking home at midnight helmet-less and buzzed. Wind in the hair, the whole beautiful deal. I feel like I am a little kid (maybe I am :D) Anyways, this post is dedicated to that feeling of consequence-less freedom. rare exceptional moments of feeling alive and youthful. you know what I am talking about. Living is good… and sometimes these subtle reminders help us live each moment to the fullest. carpe diem!
