^ from their store on Gould Street in Bondi (about 30 seconds from the beach)

This is a jean & clothing brand that truly represents the Bondi culture & style… The style is hard to describe because it is very ecclectic/ grungey but at the same time high end and chic… To give you a visual, Erin Wasson would fit in quite nicely (she is a supported of Ksubi jeans)…  Here is a bit of information about this Australian fashion house (which has recently jumped seas to a location on the LES of Manhattan…  You will likey.

speaking of which… Ksubi designers Dan Single and George Gorrow w/ Erin Wasson, source: blogs.smh.com.au

Ksubi has evolved into one of the most notorious and recognised labels in the world. For six years, ideas, individuality and authenticity has developed the Australian brand into an underground subculture, a lifestyle- an international presence with a cult following. Dan Single and George Gorrow, co- founders and directors of the brand, created ksubi as a culture of fashion, music and art. The boys behind ksubi, their conceptual feats, topical fashion style and signtaure denim has led the brand to exponential popularity.  In addition to their three stores in Australia- two in the Sydney suburbs of Bondi and Paddington, and one in Armadale, Melbourne; they have a store in New York and plans to open others in Tokyo and Los Angeles.

From live rats being released onto the catwalk in 2001, warehouse installations and late-night booty bar parties in 2002, boat shows in 2003 and a motorbike rock chick calendar in 2004, to a futuristic-inspired parade closing Australian Fashion Week in 2005, and more recently a post-apocalyptic inspired collection at 2007 Rosemount Australian Fashion Week- ksubi has never fallen short of an impressive spectacle

Ksubi have shown an evolution from traditional, classic denim- new washes are reworked, refined, bleached out, highlighted and expanded upon resulting in everchanging and inspiring collections which combine Ksubi’s renowned great fitting jeans with fashion forward and contemporary styling.

Another collaboration with a celebrity/model has just popped up, except this time, it’s actually a good thing! Model Erin Wasson, the true-blooded beauty out of Texas, has teamed up with former skate/now art infused clothing label RVCA to create a women’s Spring 2009 line that will consist of floral dresses, frayed denim shorts, tops and tanks. RVCA apparently signed a 3 year deal with Erin, according to WWD, which means more good stuff to come. With pieces ranging from $50-250, RVCA’s new muse will surely be generating quite a bit of buzz amongst the grungy teen surfnistas that have known Wasson’s looks from the countless runways she appeared on for higher-end labels such as Armani, Balenciaga, Cavalli, Gucci, and Karl Lagerfeld, and ad campaigns for J.Crew, Levi’s, H&M, and Gap, as well as Timberlake’s lineWilliam Rast. Wasson’s “take it or leave it” approach to fashion will undoubtedly appeal to the cigarette smoking, street-ready heart breakers of RVCA’s already impressive art-core following.

Women’s Wear Daily has also posted a review of the collection HERE.

And here are some of Wasson’s upcoming looks for the brand.
