is there anything better than snail mail? the answer is no… aside from my deep routed love for technology, no other form of communication gets me quite as excited as reicieving a letter or package… it is so personal, thoughtful and oh so classic ;D. I especially love when it comes in a nontraditional form (many thanks to ali, kate, and my mom for keeping my mailbox full)

My friend Marisa and I are selling our homemade jewelry, at markets in Sydney and on etsy.com. We hope to fund our traveling adventures. Today between jobs I went vintage shopping with Marisa in Surry Hills (which has THE BEST vintage – a lot of 70’s and 80’s euro stuff) Adorable sandals, swimsuits, boots, dresses – ahh such heaven. Marisa found two amazing skinny leather belts and a floral neon dress that is to die for!!! sharing some of the ebay love
For those of you who don’t know I am vintage crazy and a label whore… my moma & grandma own antique stores and are interior decorators, which is why I loveee to rummage for fashion treasures (since I am so far away I am going to trusty etsy and ebay)
I am keeping winter and warmth in mind for those of you back in the states :) but i will post sundresses too! thank goodness for summer down under. All options look stylish with strappy sandals, pumps, boots – classic enough for work or to drinks with friends

Lately, the little things in my life have been spiraling out of control. For example, yesterday I accidently deleted my beloved blog. I was skyping with my sister at the time and made an accidental click. My heart sank into my stomach and I felt sick. I lost it. I was immature, emotional, and frustrated… blah blah blah :( the words “your blog is gone forever” were all I could hear… all my hard work and time lost forever is all I could think…

All day I replayed the mornings happening over in my mind… wishing I could rewind time and take back that one accidental click! Luckily, I was able to distract myself babysitting. At almost midnight last night, I recieved an email response from wordpress saying they would take my blog back online – Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
This is an apology post for my horrific and crazy behavior to my boyfriend and sister (without them this blog would not be back online!!!) Hopefully everyone can relate to this situation and crazy behavior :) What I am taking away from this “traumatic” experience is:
1. be thankful for the people in your life who are there when you need them – Thank you guys for your love and support
2. be calm, cool and collected – act instead of react and this world would be a better place (I NEED TO WORK ON THIS) and stay POSITIVE
3. and finally, read carefully before you click!
oh yes
4. every cloud has a silver lining, this disaster initiated some positive improvements to the site that you will see shortly
With that being said I would like to share my collection inspiration (I have been waiting to post this collage!)
This collage is a collection of images, graphics, pictures that describes the woman I plan to design for. Classic beauty, athleticism, high fashion and travel are a few elements I am keeping in mind when I design. Think modern Grace Kelly with a splash of Chloe, Etro, Isabel Marant, Philip Lim, Thakoon, Gucci. Think high fashion active wear that is wearable day to night to a variety of activities and events. This woman is a traveler who is interested in exploring the world . Her closet is a collection of memories from the places she has been and people she has known. She is sophisticated, versatile, sexy, fun, and comfortable! – yess… needless to say I am so EXCITED!!!!! :)!!!!!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Even though they do not celebrate the holiday “officially” down under, us American folk are celebrating with costume Halloween parties. Here is the DIY version of little red riding hood – a red velvet cape with gold detailing and GIGANTIC hood :D

Delirium late night + espresso shots is a recipe for a disaster, and a new creative DIY project. The result is, my latest sewing-capades made from salvaged trash scraps compliments of my old work + some lining material :)
Black & gold is fitting for this weekends homecoming festivities at the university of co (go buffs) hehe
what can be said for this design (aside from that I can improve the construction next time) is that it is very supportive, comfortable, fun, and sassy. YAY for swimsuit season down under!
Because it is my first trial, there will be more to come… variations on coverage, strapping, and fabric…
Next is an attempt to re-create this VS bra (i know so sell out), I was obsessed with that became discontinued (my friends know what I am talking about). It was the perfect combination of comfort & support and could be warn under anything… This bra-top has a similar fit. I swear it fits better on a person! :) for now it works on Scarlet (my design form)
I am definitely planing on changing the connecting ties, to something more creative

this is a pretty unfortunate picture, almost as unfortunate as if I were being serious… but you can maybe appreciate the layering of delicate gold jewelry? inspired by the zimmerman styling in their summer swim campaign (posted earlier this week… and right above) i am going for short neckline with some of necklaces i have made or collected :)
