AHHHHH!!!!

LOVEEE

my temporary slumdog air bed

the current decor.

you may remember these from a post back when I was living in Australia…  Marisa and I finally put our interior decorating vision to reality in our apt.  Each I Maestri Del Colore a pamplet of prints from different fine artist.

Painting compliments of Colorado artist Alice Rosenblatt… accompanied by Australian anniversary edition vogue.

outcome of day 1 fashion drawing… meh i suck… but i am excited to work really hard and improve.  My teacher was inspirational.  The first day of class (3hrs) was spent doing 2 minute sketches of a live model!  I was FRREAAAKING OUT!!!!

Scarlett is back!

adore this Gauguin print I tore out of The Masters pamplet from the living room display.  The colors are deep and luxurious.

dinner tonight.  baby peppers stuffed with sauteed tuna & vegetables… ingredients: 2 tbs salsa, 2 tbs white bean hummus, 2 cans tuna, 1/4 purple onion, veggies (of your choice), 2 tbs olive oil, salt to taste, baby peppers!  directions: put olive oil in skillet on HIGH heat… meanwhile, cut inside out of peppers and place in skillet – leave for about 8 minutes rotating to brown sides.  then remove. Dice veggies. Mix tuna, veggies, salsa, hummus, onion, salt in a bowl and put in skillet for 2 minutes on medium heat.  Remove from heat and stuff into peppers.  Serve hot or cold.  Serves 3. Bon appetite!

^movie of the year for sure.

of course it is 1:44 in the morning… day before classes start… and i am trying to do a bazillion things.  Read through syllabuses, pick out an outfit, pack a lunch, decorate my room, upload photos, blog… so many things that probably should just wait – but they are pressing matters and must be completed tonight! obviously!  anyways, i wanted to share some photos from this week (best week ever)

ohh totally unrelated but I saw Kanye West today in soho – he looked EXACTLY as you would expect in a suit and huge sunglasses…. and it was hot as hell today…

we are ordering this GIGANTIC Mark Rothko fine art print for our living room

I visited Broadway Dance Center to take a contemporary jazz class that changed my life

this store is simply fabulous… Elizabeth Bauer has a special store (and website!) filled with antiques and household decor… her collection is quirky and unique… her store reminds me of my mother!

Visiting Eloise at the Plaza – of course

my sartorialist shot gorgeous roomie cruising the streets in hand crafted jorts – the pocket kills me!!! :D

we kicked off the night at Above Allen where our friend Godbuns was djing… and today I found out the bar was chosen as top 10 rooftop bars in the world…  on that list Vertigo Grill & Moonbar in Thailand looks absolutely ridiculous

best night ever… on a mission to climb the buildings fire escape and play on the roof…

success!

from our apt we saw this rooftop party… we obviously had to be apart of it and made our way next door to celebrate with strangers…

dear god.

out with my hipster friends (i use the term hipster loosely) At the Leslie Lohman Art Gallery in Soho

omg i hate to even share this… however i feel i must… at the Transformations show was the one and only Jay Manuel from America’s Next Top Model – haha – i am not a fan! but he did look like a ken doll and cara insisted i take this obnoxious photo

ok 1st of all this photo perfectly shows the chaotic state my room is in at this very moment! i die. ^ easiest recipe EVER! ingredients: 1 can chick peas, 2 tbs white bean hummus, 2 avocado, 10 cherry tomatoes, 2 large portabello mushrooms, 2-3 tbs olive oil, salt, garlic (or garlic powder) (season to taste)… direction: cut tomatoes in half, chop mushrooms into 1 inch cubes (or smaller), saute all ingredients (except avocado) together for 5-8 minutes (until mushroom is juicy)…  top with avocado! feeds 3 – bon appetite!

love this city – sigh
