I was in Boulder last weekend and what with work and some projects haven’t had time to post! I am going to DC this weekend and hopefully will have some down time to put up things i have been working on.
I thought I would leave you with a site that I think is very cool!
If you haven’t heard of post secret it is - PostSecret is an ongoing community mail art project, created by Frank Warren, in which people mail their secrets anonymously on one side of a homemade postcard. Select secrets are then posted on the PostSecret website, or used for PostSecret’s books or museum exhibits.

thesseee pants!!!! :D

(this one is Hermes but I thought it fit with these pics so I threw it in)

I love the combination of delicate/sexy/lacy pieces with a chunky belt… THE COLORS!!!… love the coral accessories and detailing… Leopard is always one of my favorites- and this particular print is very rich (heart the leopard boots especially)… I appreciate how Bluemarine makes business modern professional wear (more for a creative industry) spontaneous and spunky with a sensual feminine essence.
YUMMMM
Content of this site is a bit strange (and hilarious) but who cares if the food tastes as good as it looks!
Pistachio crusted sea bass
Blueberry Waffles
Chicken & Mango Quesadilla

Not sure if you remember a much older post I made about the Jay Z “Brooklyn Go Hard” video… if not you should investigate Evan Roth’s graphic art (among his various other talents!) using typography – recently I started to wonder what he is up to and what his other work is like –> I checked out his website and found he has many other amazing (seriously amazing) work… if you go to the link above you will have the option to watch some other videos similar to the Jay Z one – with music from led zepplin, jose feliciano, and others using different fonts.

“…artist with interests in technology, tools of empowerment, open source, and popular culture. Roth graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in architecture. After working as an autocad monkey for a year inDC and another two in LA he returned to the east coast to attend the Parsons Design + Technology MFA program where he was awarded a 5′ plastic trophy for graduating as valedictorian. During this time he developed Typographic Illustration, Explicit Content Only, Graffiti Taxonomy and his thesis project, Graffiti Analysis.
After Parsons, Evan spent two years experimenting in creative open source R&D at the Eyebeam OpenLab where he created aslew of projects and co-founded the Graffiti Research Lab. Currently Roth is teaching MFA courses at Parsons ranging fromvisual programming to internet fame to geek graffiti (a course labeled “an invitation to break the law” by city council memeber Peter Vallone Jr.), and is in the process of co-founding F.A.T.(Free Art & Technology), Brooklyn’s first and only R&D lab for the public domain.
Roth’s projects have recently shown at the Sundance Film Festival, the Moma, the Tate, the New Museum, and on BET. Evan’s work has been published in the New York Times, Time magazine, Rolling Sone, and Esquire, and is the number one return for the google search “bad ass mother fucker”.
Evan lives in Hong Kong with his wife and enjoys spending his free time violating laws related to copyright and vandalism. Current and past work is archived at evan-roth.com.”

What I like about these symbols is how they are simplistic but bold… the artist obviously has a particular style that you can identify at a first glance… but I am not sure exactly why – which is one of my favorite things!!!
I feel this way often
hehe
Thought this was smart and funny – even though I shouldn’t think it is funny
Numero is a French Fashion Magazine that is pretty neat – these gold pants = fabulous

“Charity biography
Goodwill Ambassador for UNHCR.
Jolie is on the board of advisors for the Yéle Haiti Foundation, and with Brad Pitt took time to help Wyclef Jean with his Clean Streets project. Jolie also arranged a deal with People Magazine allowing them to print the first picture showing her visibly pregnant in exchange for a $500,000 donation to the charity.
Angelina has been travelling to refugee camps around the world since filming Tomb Raider. During her missions she has visited places including Sudan’s war-torn Darfur, Sierra Leone, Cambodia and Tanzania. She also visited Afghan refugees in Pakistan and donated $1 million to help.
Jolie is known to cover all of her costs while on missions, and shares the working and living conditions as the UNHCR field staff.
Jolie published Notes from My Travels, a collection of journal entries that chronicle her early field missions (2001-2002) with proceeds benefitting UNHCR.
According to tax records, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt donated more than $8 million to charity in 2006 alone.
In January, 2008, Jolie and her brother, James Haven, marked the first anniversary of their mother’s death from ovarian cancer by making an undisclosed donation to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.”
hmmm awesome
Tess and I just went and saw this movie… the movie is extremely well done and Giancarlo Giammetti and Valentino’s dedication to each other, to the Valentino brand, and their passion to create beauty are truly inspiring
